Via Santa Ynez

Rooted in the quiet romance of Southern California, this residence draws upon a timeless Mediterranean language to create a home that feels both enduring and deeply personal. Stucco walls, terra cotta roofs, and hand-worked wood elements are composed with careful restraint, allowing proportion, light, and material to carry the architecture rather than ornament. The plan unfolds as a series of connected, intimate spaces, where vaulted ceilings, arched passages, and carefully framed views cultivate a sense of warmth and belonging. Indoors and out are intertwined.  Garden courtyards, filtered light, and moments of water and greenery extending the life of the house beyond its walls. In this way, the home becomes less an object and more an environment, one that reflects the rhythms of daily life and the enduring human desire for beauty, comfort, and connection to place.
